Refunds & Cancellations

Your booking is secured with a 50% non-refundable retainer.

In the event of a booking cancellation, staggered refund terms will be applied:

  1. If you cancel 9 months before the wedding date, a sum equal to 25% of the contract price will be non refundable, excluding 50% non-refundable retainer.

  2. If you cancel 6 months before the wedding date, a sum equal to 50% of the contract price will be non refundable, excluding 50% non-refundable retainer.

  3. If you cancel 3 months before the wedding date, a sum equal to 100% of the contract price will be non refundable, excluding 50% non-refundable retainer.

If possible & subject to camera availability, we are happy to transfer the cancelled booking, including any outstanding payments, over to a new client/date.

Wherever possible, subject to availability of cameras, we will accommodate a change in wedding date.

In the event of any money being taken in error, a full refund will be provided.

Terms & Conditions

Payment terms

In order to secure the booking, we request 50% payment up front which is due when the terms and conditions have been read and payment has been made online.

This is a non-refundable retainer which will secure U film it's services for the date of the Wedding day/event and bookings cannot be confirmed until this money has been received. Rental period

The rental period will start two days before the Wedding day/event and run to the next working day after the Wedding day/event inclusive and U film it will arrange for delivery and collection of the camcorders via courier. The client agrees to package the equipment in the boxes provided by UFI and agrees to the designated time for delivery and collection of the cameras prior to the Wedding day/event date.

Service supplied

U film it agrees to hire one/two Sony AX33 cameras for the purpose of filming the client's Wedding/event and agrees to edit the footage into sections on a USB. The final video will be edited into sections for the Highlights, Ceremony & Speeches and will be delivered to the client 8 - 12 weeks after the Post Wedding day/event Questionnaire has been submitted. Availability may be limited and reservations are made on a first come first served basis, validated by the deposit and the signed contract.

Insurance

The kits are fully insured with a R25 000 excess. In the unlikely event that U film it should have to make a claim, the client is responsible for the R25 000 excess in full. The camcorder(s) will be left in the care of the client in good working condition and any damage, loss or theft of the equipment whilst in their care, will be charged to the client up to a maximum of R25 000. In the case of loss, damage or theft of the equipment, the client agrees to contact U film it immediately and U film it cannot be responsible for the resulting lack of footage.

Denial Of Service

We reserve the right to refuse rental service to anyone at anytime where we deem it is in our best interest on the basis of credit, past history, lack of safety precaution, or likelihood of abuse.

We may also refuse rental service at anytime and our obligation under any contract executed will be void should we discover that the intended use of the equipment presents a serious safety hazard and/or violates any constitutional or by law.

Client Responsibility

The client agrees to examine the camcorder, batteries, tripod and microphone before the wedding day/event to ensure that they are in good working order. If there are any technical or operator issues at this point, the client agrees to raise them with U film it. The client also agrees to return the equipment in the same condition as received, ordinary wear and tear accepted. The client is solely responsible for the equipment, and those who use it, whilst it is in their possession and accepts full responsibility for loss or damage to the equipment. The client is solely responsible for ensuring that the camcorders are filming throughout the course of the wedding day/event. U film it cannot be held responsible for the lack of footage, poor quality of filming and the loss of memory cards from the wedding day/event.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify U film it and it’s employees and agents from and against any and all losses, damages, claims, or liability of any kind whatsoever, including legal expenses, arising from the use, condition (including, without limitation, latent or other defects) or operation of the equipment, and by whosoever used or operated the equipment during the rental term. U film it is not responsible for accident or injury caused directly or indirectly by the use of the rented equipment.

U film it's Responsibility

In the unlikely event that U film it cannot perform the services agreed upon; all fees paid by the client will be refunded. U film it will take the utmost care with respect to delivery, editing and delivery of final video footage. In the event that circumstances arise that are beyond our control our liability is limited. Circumstances beyond our control include, but are not limited to: acts of nature, electrical power failures, strikes, labour disputes, riots, insurrections, civil disturbances, fires, flood, storms, explosions, war, governmental actions, non performance of third parties, or loss or fluctuations of electrical power.

U film it reserves the right to use any footage for promotional or any other purposes or public display. The video is produced for the client's personal, private, in-home use. The client assumes all liability for any form of copyright infringement and is responsible for any personal releases.

How we use your information

U film it collects personal information when you register with us or place an order for products or services. We will use this information to provide the services requested, maintain guarantee records and, if you agree, to send you marketing information.
